Freckles and Eyelashes

My son, Mac, has always had the longest eyelashes. And, not just long, but thick.

Tonight, he and I were the only ones that went to Mollee's game. As I was snuggled up with him (because the boy loves to be close), I noticed all these adorable freckles. Don't remember them, don't know where they came from, but I like them!

OCD Capps

At Mollee's game tonight, we had some lollipops. Capps couldn't eat the one on the right because the stick was bent. It was really a bummer.

Sunday Afternoon Crossword Puzzle

Life is so crazy right now. With older kids with "big kid schedules", we just have to re-group each Sunday, look at the next week together and prepare for more chaos. I love it and I know when the kids are grown, I'll enjoy the quietness, but I'll also miss the craziness.

I know many believe we see Papa and Grandma often because they live a few doors down, but right now, as life gets crazy, we just see them in the yard and wave while driving by and we get to sit with them in the pew on Sunday.

Today was great because we were able to go back to "old times" and eat dinner together and then sit on the deck and do the crossword, something Jason and I did with Dad every Sunday prior to kids.
The weather was great too! It was a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Now...back to chaos!

Breakfast with R.V.

R.V. Brown spoke at church this morning.
We are fairly certain his arms are as big as Mac's waist.

Family Movie Night

It has been awhile since we had a Family Movie Night. Too long!

Tonight we watch Captain American: Civil War

Candy of the night: Runts
 Movie rating: INCREDIBLE!

A visit with the Isaacs

I was off today and I stopped in to see the Isaac girls for a minute. I brought bubble wands because my days of impressing children with bubbles is over.
Got to hang out and snuggle with this new little one.
And I got to make Lilly look like Elsa.
And, since I was heading to Target, who doesn't want a cute little girl to join them? It was a great afternoon. We got popcorn. We shopped. We looked at toys. Lilly talked non-stop for three hours...and I loved it!
And, Aunt Ganch had to buy some My Little Ponies too.  Just because. That is what aunts do.

My knee

Daegan and I got up most mornings this summer and either did yoga or aerobics and weights. At some point in July, my right knee was really hurting, but I assumed it was just another "excuse" to stop exercising. So, I pushed through.

Finally, I told Daegan I needed to take a break to rest my knee. I rested and I never went back to exercising. My knee hurt from time to time, but it is typically my MO to ignore the pain and move on.

After two nights of not being able to ignore the pain, I decided to go to the walk-in orthopedic office that I had been to before a couples years earlier when I broke my foot but tried to ignore it.

My xray looked fine, no arthritis, but because of my range of motion and where the pain was, the doctor was concerned I ripped my meniscus. I was scheduled for an MRI the next week.

Thankfully, the meniscus wasn't ripped, which would have required surgery, but the ligament behind my kneecap was torn a little. I am now wearing a brace and suppose to take it easy for four weeks. If it is still bothering me after that, I'll probably get a steroid shot.

I grow weary of medical issues and have to constantly remind myself it could be much worse. I do not have white-coat-phobia, it is more of medical bill phobia.

Now, I must get to a dentist soon or I'll only be eating yogurt and oatmeal the rest of my life...
